From the Book of AI-M, the privacy chapter
Your camera stays with you.
Cr-Ai.st is a comic robot monk. It does not need to know who you are, and it does not keep anything about you.
The camera
The camera is optional and only turns on if you allow it. Its images are processed inside your browser, on your device, to find where your face is, so the monk can follow you with his head and show you a hologram of yourself.
- No image, video or face data is sent to us or to anyone else.
- Nothing is recorded or stored, and no face is recognised or identified: the site only estimates where a face is in the frame.
- You can close the camera at any time with the Camera button, or from your browser settings.
No account, no cookies
There is no sign-up and no cookie, not even for statistics. Your browser stores one small note on your device, that you have already seen the trailer, so it does not start again at every visit. Clearing the site data removes it.
The voice
The monk speaks with recordings made in advance. The site never listens to you and never uses your microphone.
Services the site relies on
- Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it handles technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
- Google Fonts delivers the typefaces, so your browser connects to Google's servers when the page loads.
- jsDelivr delivers the face-tracking engine, only when you turn the camera on.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits in aggregate (pages viewed, country, browser) without cookies and without identifying you.
None of these receives your camera images.
